Ok. Now I am beginning to feel really paranoid. Ever since I lost my Mum, virtually every time I lay out the cards, Death pops up. Sometimes in the past, sometimes at the root, but always there, waving at me with his toothy grin. As my tarot teacher and my friends can attest, all I have to do is be told to pull out one card at random, and he pops up. Now we are living in the dark half of the year, I have discovered I have a very love-hate relationship with Osiris. I feel somehow protected knowing that life must live and die, and a simple glance up at the stars will show me Orion standing strong and true attesting that this is so. The Nile floods and brings fertility, just as death and rotting gives us fertiliser. But nevertheless, he took from me that which I loved the most, and will continue to do so as the years pass.
