About the event
A  wide ranging discussion exploring the similarities and differences in  practice and celebration of the Wheel of the Year. Traveling through the  year Jonathan and Bex will share their understandings of the deeper  meaning of their shared festivals, the cultural significance of hidden  practices and how the public images of their crafts have changed over  time. They will look to the future for both paths and where they might  lead.
Dr Jonathan Woolley is a druid, diviner and an  environmental anthropologist, whose research deals with how myth,  culture and ritual shape our connection with the natural world. Jonathan  has written extensively on traditional customs, enchantment, and the  landscape for numerous academic publications. As part of his Druidic  practice, Jonathan regularly tells fortunes, through scrying, tarot, and  the reading of omens in the land, sea and sky. As a member of the Order  of Bards, Ovates, and Druids since 2010, Jonathan has played an active  role in leading and supporting seasonal rituals and advocacy for the  Pagan Community.
Dr Rebecca Beattie has spent more than twenty years  studying and practicing witchcraft and Wicca, and has a deep  understanding of the traditions underpinning the practices. A published  author, her books include Nature Mystics: The Literary Gateway to Modern Paganism and Wheel of the Year: A Nurturing Guide. Site: https://www.rebeccabeattie.co.uk/
